These closed-door lectures were delivered at the 32nd Anniversary of the Theosophical Society held at Benares, in 1907, and were intended to give an advanced understanding of Yoga. These lectures were designed to remain private but it has now been decided to allow lay persons to have an access to the Science of Sciences. In order to prepare the apprentice to take up the Yoga sutras of Patanjali and the chief treatises on Yoga, Bhagavan Das (as my collaborator), and I have offered this translation of these Sutras, with Vyasa's commentary.
